Beware Dive Gear Donation Fraud !

Dear Friends of Diveheart,
Diveheart could not survive as a non profit serving children, adults and veterans with disabilities through scuba without your generous financial support and donations of dive gear for our programs. We appreciate it and thank you for your continued generosity, friendship and support.
Unfortunately, right now there is someone in Manatee county Florida, who is not part of Diveheart fraudulently representing himself as a Diveheart volunteer in an effort to con unwitting donors into giving him dive gear donations.
This has happened before in Ft Lauderdale when an instructor there represented himself as the founder of Diveheart and was able to talk unwitting dive operators there into donating gear and free air fills for his for profit business that he runs out his garage. I had to personally visit dive operators there and introduce myself as the REAL founder and president of Diveheart and clear up any confusion.
Its sad that some people will stoop to this level to use the good name of a charity like Diveheart to scam others and benefit themselves.
For this reason it is important to inform the dive community to beware of these types of scams. We recommend that if an individual is solicited for a donation that they check out the non profit organization first and personally contact the charity before making any kind of donation.
I'm happy to personally talk to anyone who would like more information about Diveheart's donation policy. Simply contact us at  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  or call Diveheart world headquarters at 630-964-1983
