Message from the President
Dear friends of Diveheart:
During High Tide all boats rise. That is why Diveheart is working so hard at raising the level of the water for all organizations and individuals that work with disabled divers.
Five years ago Diveheart began not only training disabled divers and able bodied instructors and buddies; it began a campaign to bring awareness to professionals in the Dive industry and the general public.
This effort has brought tremendous rewards. Since Diveheart began its campaign three major dive training agencies have initiated programs for disabled divers, NAUI, SDI & SSI.
In addition Diveheart links to, and supports, not only the Handicapped Scuba Association and the International Association of Handicapped Divers, but disabled dive clubs as well as shops, instructors and organizations that serve the disabled dive community regardless of their dive agency affiliation.
We appreciate your friendship and support for the last five years as we've continued our mission to build confidence and independence in children and adults with disabilities.through the sport of Scuba Diving.
Five years ago we would never be writing about Matt Johnson and his dream to scuba dive.
A truly magical moment is when Matt Johnson, a scuba diving pioneer, came into our life...here is his story.

Gagnan was the engineer who designed the valves that would make the dream possible. Now, however, a third name has emerged (or submerged, as the case may be) to take its place alongside these two: Matt Johnston.
