PRESIDENTS MESSAGE:
You've probably heard the phrase." The Harder You Work. The Luckier You Get".
Well, at Diveheart the hard work is paying off big time. In the last two weeks alone a Diveheart team was in Key Largo with six disabled teens from Shriners Children's Hospital..While another team participated in the fourth annual Chicago Disability Parade..
At the same time, Diveheart certified nine instructors from Reef Divers in Little Cayman to work with divers with disabilities, and we teamed up with Oceans For Youth and the folks at Camp H20 and worked with cognitively impaired young people during a week long scuba adventure camp.
Meanwhile, Diveheart was fortunate to have local media coverage at Camp H20 and international coverage in Scuba Diving Magazine's August Issue featuring Divehearts DMW ( Diveheart Military Wounded) program...Wow, hard work does pay off!
A dedicated army of volunteers and Diveheart board members help make all these great things happen..And Diveheart's newest board member fits right in.
Dan Barrett's piece on Bill Bogdan captures the essence of the man who has overcome incredible challenges in his own life to take a leadership role, not only in the community & in government but now with Diveheart.
Bill Bogdan will help take Diveheart to the next level and it is with pride and great pleasure that we welcome him
