At Diveheart we all feel honored to have shared in Matt's dream of scuba diving. Every day we have Matt with us… is a gift.

It's too bad Matt couldn't have made it to the DEMA ( Dive Equipment Marketing Association ) show this year. He really wanted to go to see all his friends in the dive industry.

Matt and Diveheart are embarking on a mission together to build a disabled dive program in his home state of Minnesota and bring a group of disabled divers and trained instructors and dive buddies on a life changing scuba adventure trip in 2009.

Matt would join the group on their trip and provide inspiration and guidance all along the way…. We hope Matt's words in the October Diveheart Newsflash will inspire you.

With my dream full filled, I want to help others.

My name is Matt Johnston. I was diagnosed when I was seven years old with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy. I have been wheel chair bound since I was eight years old and about fourteen years ago I became vent dependent.
